Eggsciting!

It's that time of year again! Last night we dyed eggs for Hudson's first easter. It was fun to just spend some time together without the distraction of T.V. or the internet (as I blog.... nice).

Hudson Central

That should be the name of my blog. I know that the Hudson posts are getting beyond control. But... the good news is I have some other things in the works right now. So.... if you hang in here with me you might hear about something else besides this darling boy (but, I'm not making any promises keep in mind.) We got his pictures taken recently and I can't believe how big he looks! My little preemie is growing up!

3 Mo.

My Goob-a-Loob is already 3 mos! The time has gone by so fast... I hate that he is getting so much bigger, but I have to admit he gets funner everyday.

• He smiles all the time now. He is trying to laugh, but hasn't quite mastered that
• He does this funny shiver thing all the time and makes such a funny sound with it
• He blows spit bubbles
• When he gets hungry he becomes frantic and throws his hands around scratching whoever is holding him at the time
• He coos when I sing to him
• He is very alert and loves looking at lights, movement and bright colors
• Hudson is a mommy's boy through and through and will sometimes not let anyone hold him but me
• Still waking up almost every 3 hours to be fed
• WILL NOT sleep by himself
• He is very particular about things. He loves the car but throws a fit when we stop at a stoplight or slow down, and will swing in his swing only if the vibrator, swing and music are on... turn one of them off and all bets are off.
• He has TERRIBLE hair. He has a really bad swirl in the front and is missing chunks in the back. Poor thing looks like a chemo patient.
• Hudson does not like to lie alone. He wants to be held all the time

He is such a blast and Landon and I are in awe at how much he changes everyday. It's hard to focus on real life with this little guy around. Speaking of real life, I graduate in 30 days! I only have 5 capstone shifts left! I am SO excited! Nursing school has been a long road and I'm very anxious to put my degree to use!

Dear Grandma Dizzle

Daddy and Mama have been driving me CRAZY lately trying to get me to smile for you. Every morning it's the same routine. I smile, they bust out their camera, I get performance anxiety and cry and we start over the next day. I have gotten so sick of it, I finally decided just to smile. I miss you and Grandpa. I hope you can come see me soon. I love you!

Here are some of my failed attempts....

2 Mo.

Time has flown by and my little boyfriend is now 2 mos. old. It's strange because on one hand I feel like I just brought him home, yet I can't remember my life without him. He is so much fun and has finally starting smiling (videos to come). He is still sleeping almost 18 hours a day and wants to eat the whole 6 hours he is awake! He has started getting a little colicky lately and fusses from 10 pm to 1 am almost every night.

Anyone who has been around Goobs knows that this man can produce some pretty impressive gas. We took him to Harry Potter with us last week, he waited until it was completely silent and then let a HUGE fart. Of course no one could see that we had a baby with us so they were looking at us like we were disgusting. (I pointed at Landon when he wasn't looking)

I have to be honest, Hudson is one of the few things in my life going great right now. I am chronically tired.... and not in the whole, "I have a newborn" kind of way, but the "I'm doing night shifts in labor and delivery twice a week and psych clinicals all day Thursday and Friday and homework and I have a newborn" kind of way. I know that this will pay off in the next few months but I am SICK of school. Like, really sick. Let me just say that I'm so glad I have Landon to help me with Hudson. I would be sunk without him. Tomorrow is our anniversary, stay tuned for that!

Exotic Valentines Getaway

That's right... we are on an exotic and romantic getaway to Primary Children's for this year's holiday of ♥ LOVE! ♥Wednesday Goobs started coughing occasionally. I really did not think much of it until Thursday when the coughing became more frequent. Landon took him to the Dr. while I was in school, she thought it was probably nothing but took a sputum sample to be sure. Friday she called and told me that he had RSV and to watch him for signs of respiratory distress. Sure enough, Friday night Landon and I got really worried about him. He was breathing really fast and was working really hard for air. We drove him to Primary's and have been here since! He is doing well and we think we will be going home tomorrow morning. Here are some pics of our trip:

He got this little monkey while we were here. We named it Goomer. (That's a nickname nurses use for babies who came from the ER. (Get Out Of My Emergency Room)

Aunt Carol came to visit and decided to look just like my Mom.
