Dustin' Off...

Our Rollerblades! Landon and I have been LOVING the spring weather here in Provo. We have been going on 2 hour walks almost everyday. Well, today the weather hit 62 degrees and we busted out our trusty blades! It's a lot different than rollin' around St. Anthony, Idaho. Now we have to hit some silly button and wait for a walk sign to cross the street.  I am TERRIBLE at stopping so everytime we come to a crosswalk Landon had to grab my waist to stop me from hauling into traffic. All of that nonsense aside, I'm so grateful for the sunshine!

Yep, that's a peak of leg there. Have you ever seen something so white in your life? 

By the way... isn't our yard looking fabulous? It's so dead from all the snow, I'm trying to convince Lanny to bust out the lawnmower. Hope you are all enjoying the sun!

We MisS yOu

Two Years.... On one hand it's gone fast, but to me it seems I have not seen him for ten. On this day two years ago I saw so much pain in people that I love. Rather than focus on that, I wanted to post about the good. Nic's legacy... Mason and Avery. Nic was an amazing father and he loved his kids more than anything. It breaks my heart that he cannot tuck them in tonight, but I know that my Heavenly Father had a plan for Nic, my sister and their kids and I am so grateful for the promise of eternal families. I love to visit the temple and feel reassurance and comfort that someday Nic will hug his babies again. I am so thankful that Mason and Avery have Neil, they love him so much and he is so patient and sweet with them.  I hope that we can all love the people in our lives as if we may not be able to tomorrow.

Yeah! I finally got a fancy, new binder to hold all of my manufacturer's coupons! It sure makes it much easier to find what I am looking for in the grocery store. Who would have ever thought I would be such a bargain hunter? I'm obsessed with it! I saved over $400 at the grocery store last month! (Brad is going to look great in the store with this, Linda. Very masculine.) 

Husband Tag ♥

Valentines last year (we went to a formal dinner and dance)

In light of Valentines day comin' right up, I thought I would indulge myself in this little husband tag: 

Where did you meet your husband? I had just broken up with this guy and was really bitter about the whole thing. I took him all of his stuff and was walking back into my apartment building when I saw a note hanging on the door that said, "Date needed for concert tonight, cute girls only need apply. Apt # 221" Well, jaded me ripped it right off and stomped over to that apartment and rapped on the door. Landon answered and I screamed, "Are boys really this pathetic?! Can't you even get a date?" I guess he found my sassiness appealing! 

When was your first kiss? Well, when was our first date? 

How long did you date before you got married? I am embarrassed to admit this, but we met in August, were engaged in November and married in March. That is ridiculously fast. 

How long have you been married? 1 year, 11 months and 5 days 

What does he do that surprises you? Not a whole lot surprises me about Landon anymore, but he does have some little quirks that catch me off guard. Like how he insists upon always wearing my socks, or how he has no consideration with the volume of his voice while talking on the cell phone (no matter where we are), or how he donates money to random charities. Sometimes I check the bank account and there will be donations to all of these funny organizations. It's really cute. 

What is your favorite feature of his? That he smiles with his mouth closed. It makes him look like a guilty, little kid. 

What is his best quality? Landon is super sweet. He will leave me little letters around the house, bring me home presents and gets super upset if I am sad. 

Does he have a nickname for you? This question should say, 'does he ever call you your real name?' because Landon does not. As you all know, I will answer to "Honey, Che' Money, Che' Balls, Baby Love, Balls, Bobby Brady, Shady, or Babe." 

What is his favorite food? Ruby River steak and sweet potato

What is his favorite sport? Basketball 

What is your favorite thing to do as a couple? We love to go on Vacations. (but mostly cruises and Disneyland)

Does he have any children? Not that I know of 

Does he have any hidden talents? Landon is VERY persuasive. He could probably convince me that I am blonde if he wanted, this has been a GREAT quality while selling. Poor, unsuspecting people. At least I know what I'm up against. 

How old is he? 25

Who said I love you first? I did, but he had been dancing around it for weeks. He said things like, "if this is not love, I don't know what is." What a chicken. 

What is his favorite music? Whatever he is singing too loudly at the time. 

What is his favorite color? I'm not sure, I should ask him that. 

What do you admire most about him? Landon is very determined in life, and always seem to be really good at everything he tries. I have never seen him fail. He treats me so good and always lets me know how he feels about me. I know that he is going to take great care of me and our babies. 

Will he read this? Of course, Landon stalks blogs like nobody's business.

Yesterday Landon and I had the opportunity to go and listen to Kim Peek speak. For those of you who don't know, Kim was the inspiration for the movie, "Rain Man." Kim was born with some major neurological abnormalities and at birth the doctor told his parents that Kim should be placed in an institution. His parents disagreed and were astonished when he started reading and retaining knowledge at a very young age. Kim has major disabilities and cannot shower, dress or do many simple tasks alone. Yet yesterday he was able to tell students what day of the week they were born on, and what day they will turn 65 based upon their birth date. He was able to tell students their zip codes and how to get to their home town no matter the location. He was charming and unbelievably knowledgeable. He has completely memorized the old and new testament and can recall the page numbers and content of thousands of books. He was inspiring and truly made me reconsider what we would typically call "handicapped." I am so glad that I was able to be in the presence of such an incredible human being. He really touched me with his message.

This One's For The Girls

Just was thinkin... I sure am glad for the estrogens in my life. Who else would understand when your jeans are feelin' a little tight, your hair seems frizzier than yesterday (if possible), you can't decide between heels or flats, or you just found a screamin' deal at Victoria's Secret? Mostly though, I'm just grateful for my huge cell phone bill, which only means one thing... I've got some women in my life that mean the world to me. Ode to the ladies!
