Intense Case of Blogger's Block

Do you guys ever stare at your blog for weeks on end with nothing clever to say? I will literally stare at the blank page and watch the cursor blink.... nothing..... nothing.... nothing....Here I am, livin' life... thinking that for certain something interesting has happened that people will want to hear about. But really, nope. Landon won his basketball tournament at UVU, I got to babysit Halsters over night, we cleaned out our closets and got rid of TONS of clothes, we went to a Jazz game... but again, I have posted about all of these things before. I still have not heard back from the University of Utah. More than ever I am just ready to get out of Limbo. It's been difficult the last couple of weeks. A few of my friends from Anatomy, Physiology, and now Pathophysiology (basically the whole road) are starting to get rejected from various programs. It gives me a rock in the pit of my stomach every time someone else hears back from their school. I know that I am next.... Until then though, I will keep an optimistic smile on my face! I have missed you all on my non-creative hiatus from the Blog World! Feels good to be back...

Picnic in the Park

Landon and I finally had a Saturday at home and were thrilled when we woke up to BEAUTIFUL weather! I made us a picnic and we hit up my favorite park in town, Neilson's grove. It felt SO good to feel the grass on my toes again... I hope you guys all had a fun Saturday! ♥

Baby Max ♥

I know most of my readers also frequent my sister's blog, sorry for the double postage, but I just had to blog about my handsome new nephew, Max. He was born this weekend while Landon and I were visiting Idaho for Spring Break. He weighed 6 lbs 13 oz and came complete with 10 fingers and 10 toes. Max's birth is a blessing for so many reasons. When Cort lost her husband two years ago, I had such a fear that she would never find happiness. Words cannot express the joy I saw on her face when she first saw her new baby, joy I was worried I may never see from her again. I am so grateful for heaven's blessings! Congratulations Cortney and Neil, I love you both and I am so happy for you!

 

Just when you get comfortable....

Real life slaps you in the face. The time is almost here again for Landon and I to take off for the summer! You would think you would get used to planning for this, but you don't. Each year we get better at taking less and less, packing the car tighter and entertaining ourselves while driving to random destinations. Landon has been spending SO much time recruiting lately, I hardly ever see him without his cell phone glued to his ear. He has done really well though, and has twice as many reps as he had last year. He and his co-manager have decided on Boston for the city of choice, which I am really excited for! Their research has shown that it has not been hit quite as hard in the failing economy (we will see), and I am THRILLED about living back east. (Plus, it will not be as hot as we are used to). I am looking forward to being done with school and working in the office, there is much less stress involved.

We also finally chose our apartment in SLC and will be living at Northgate at the Gateway when we come home, which will be such a blast! It might be a little dangerous for me to have a mall as my backyard, but it has such a fun location and is right by the Trax. We will be selling my Murano and riding public transportation everywhere, which is a scary prospect! It has been a crazy past couple of weeks trying to make preparations for all of this. I am glad that we have most of it figured out! I love the adventures that we get to go on with this job, but I look forward to the day of having a permanent address!

He Loves me!

2 years of marriage today! Wow... time flies. Landon and I have had So much fun together on this crazy journey. I honestly think we are more like best friends than husband and wife. Landon really is the best thing that has ever happened to me. I don't know what I did to deserve him. Our wedding day was perfect, and MUCH colder than today was. We got married in the SLC temple at 2:00 and then had a formal dinner for family and friends at the Joseph Smith Memorial building. I have thought a lot about that day today and I am so grateful for the promises of eternal marriage and that I get to be with him forever. I also thought a lot about what we have been doing these last two years. Here's the breakdown:

- We have lived in Orem, Provo, Vegas (twice), and San Antonio

- We have visited Minnesota, Mexico (three times), New Orleans, Disneyland (a few times), New Mexico and San Diego

- We have lived in 5 apartments and 1 house

- We have had 1 new nephew and one mystery sex niece/nephew on the way

- Developed a huge love for the Jazz

- Evolved into reality TV junkies

- Held 5 different job titles

- Paid almost $12,000 in tuition (barf)

- Become experts at the Grocery game

- Been in 1,000 fights (give or take)

- Made up 1,000 times (give or take)

Through these last two years Landon and I have become two peas in a pod. We are together all the time and know everything about one another. I cannot imagine life without him! He makes me laugh, makes me cry and makes me love like I never knew was possible. 

We celebrated today by going skiing and then out to a nice dinner. We had a super romantic Valentines day so we decided to just have fun today! It was so warm at Sundance and we had a blast!
